No equipment needed for this excellent exercise to strengthen the upper back. Shoulder retraction without an elastic. Scapular retraction is important to a lot of injury rehabilitation programs. This is also a great exercise for posture. I ask a lot of people to work on shoulder retractions with an elastic. If you don’t have an elastic this is a great option. Check out the video:

For posture, I would recommend doing it 3-5 days per week 3 sets of 10 reps with a 2 second hold. You shouldn’t have pain doing this exercise. Focus on the lower fibre trapezoid and rhomboid muscles. It is good to feel muscle fatigue or slight burning. For more, check out our youtube channel.
